Q4 2020 Performance of Top Word Puzzle Games on Android in Australia

As the year 2020 came to a close, Android users in Australia engaged with a variety of word puzzle games. Data from Sensor Tower provides insights into the performance of these games during the fourth quarter.

Wordscapes by PeopleFun showed a marked increase in downloads towards the end of the quarter, rising from 5K in early October to over 10K by December end. Weekly active users followed a similar upward trend, peaking at over 100K in the final weeks of December.

Zynga's Words With Friends 2 Word Game witnessed a stable revenue pattern with a slight increase to 6K in mid-December. Downloads saw a notable jump, climbing from under 2K in early October to nearly 3K by year-end. Active users also increased, ending the quarter at approximately 24K.

Wheel of Fortune: TV Game, from Scopely, experienced a decrease in revenue from 3K at the start of the quarter to just over 2K by the end, while downloads slightly decreased and then stabilized around 1K. Active users saw a minor decrease, ending the quarter at just over 8K.

Word Crush - Fun Puzzle Game by FUNJOY showed a significant increase in downloads, from just over 1K at the beginning of October to over 6K by the end of December. Active users also saw a dramatic increase, ending the year at nearly 15K.

Lastly, PlaySimple Games' Daily Themed Crossword Puzzles saw a decline in downloads from 10K at the quarter's start to 5.6K by the end. However, weekly active users showed a more positive trend, with an increase from around 12K to over 15K in the same period.
